1stRBN Clan Member Application Procedures

Please READ the section below carefully BEFORE filling out an application.

Make sure that you meet or exceed ALL the criteria listed below.

Applications of Candidates that do not meet the criteria will be rejected until the criteria are met, after which the Candidate will have to fill out a new application and re-apply! It will also give you an estimated time line as well as what you can expect along the way.

The Recruitment Procedures are as follows:


1 - RECRUITING PHASE

The Recruiting Phase can occur in one of two ways:

1a. A Clan member sees a potential candidate, gets the candidate involved on TeamSpeak and in the forums. After a period of time (average 2-4 months) in playing with the potential candidate, that clan member can suggest that the person fill out an application for clan membership;

OR

2b. Anyone may fill out an application at any time. Sponsorship from a member is NOT required. Regular play and involvement ARE required. Unsponsored applications are reviewed exactly the same as sponsored applications. Candidate must still meet or exceed the criteria listed.

2 - MEETING MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA

The criteria that we are looking for are:

a) Candidate must be 18 yrs or older.
b) Is NOT a member of another clan (dual memberships are not permitted).
c) Regular participation (consistent over recent 2-4 months) in all of the following:

1) Website and forums;
2) Teamspeak; and,
3) Game play on our server(s).

d) Abides by and assists in enforcing the rules.
e) Assists others in game play.
f) Displays the attitude & image that reflects positively upon the 1stRBN clan in forums/games.
g) Interacts well with other clan members.
h) Committment to support clan functions and pay dues ($5/month; New members pay first 6 months ($30) up front, then $5/month like everyone else after the 6th month).
i) Willingness of a clan member to formally sponsor/mentor the applicant (not a requirement, but a definate plus!).
j) Game skill/ability is NOT a criteria.
k) Responsible and HONEST game play! No hacking! No lying! No playing glitches!

1stRBN is looking to SELECT the BEST candidates for clan membership. Prospective candidates should expect a 4 to 6 week time period BEGINNING with the Application Phase until final selection.

What is "regular participation?"

A good way to know if you participating enough is to ask yourself these questions. Do I know most of the clan members that play my version of COD? Do regulars also recognize me? Am I starting to consider this place a second home? Do I converse with members about things other than rule violations in game? Am I avoiding constant rule violation reminders and punishments from the acting admins? Do clan members treat me like an unofficial clan member? Are you comfortable asking a clan member to sponsor you? If you have answered "yes" to most of these, then fill out the application!!!

3 - APPLICATION PHASE

3a. After the application is filled out, it will be locked pending review by the recruitment team.

3b. The recruitment team will then go through the application and evaluate it to ensure that the candidate meets and exceeds the minimum criteria.

Unsponsored applications are acceptable, however, applicants that do NOT meet the criteria will be informed and sent back up to the Recruiting Phase.

4 - REVIEW PHASE

4a. After initial evaluation, the recruitment team will either move the application forward, deny it, or hold it. If it is denied or held, a recruitment team member will notify the candidate along with the reason(s) why. Applications will only be held for vacancy slot issues or special circumstances. Otherwise it will be denied and the candidate may reapply after meeting the clan's criteria.

4b. The recruitment team will then unlock the application. Clan members will have 14 days to provide comments on the candidate. Clan members will NOT be voting at this time. Only comments of the candidate regarding facts either supporting or rejecting their application will be considered.

5 - VOTING PHASE

5a. When the recruitment team moves the application forward, individual clan members are permitted a final comment either upon the candidate or the candidate's application. Members will have fourteen (14) days to vote/comment on the candidate.

Applications will require 80% approval by a minimum of 10 of the current clan membership for automatic approval. Applications that receive between 50-79% or under the minimum 10 will be submitted to a secondary vote by a combination of the recruitment team and General Staff.

5b. If the candidate is denied, a recruitment team member will contact the candidate. If approved, a recruitment team member will confirm that the candidate still wants clan membership, and then forward the confirmation to the General staff. Upon receipt of the initial 6 months of clan dues from the candidate, the General staff will issue the candidate access to the clan-member-only section of the forums and their new clan tags.

6 - MEMBERSHIP PHASE

6a. A combination of the recruitment team and the new member's original mentor will then guide the new member through boot camp.
