Master server list

Hi,
Some of you were on TS today when I had this problem.

I can't get COD4 master server list to list. I open COD4 MP and then hit refresh. I get waiting for master server to respond message, then i get a message saying it finished and there are no servers available.

I down loaded the latest patch.
I restarted the game.
I did the realtek audio fix, which worked last time. But I Installed new vid card and deleted game then reinstalled.

Just can't see any servers listed. I typed in the ip for our server with 4th ID, and it worked, but why can't I see any servers?

I save the server in my favorite, I can see it, but that is all i can see, even when i go to internet i have a blank page Crying or Very sad

Ha, ha, but seriously, I also get a blank master list.

It doesn't really bother me, because I don't find a reason to play on
servers other than RBN/4thID related servers.

I get a full list. Are you running version 1.7.568? Check your filters also.

Yeah, sounds like a filter or router issue.

Try unplugging your modem and router for a few minutes so they reset.

I did all the google search "fix's", nothing worked.

Of course I have the latest patch, 1.75.....
Yes I have it set to Internet.
I have set the game setting to all.
Filters are set. I tied a lot of different combinations. Any ideas on what I should set my game filters to? I figured I set them all to on or yes.

There is a you tube video I watched that had to do with a settings in sound. I have no idea why it worked, but when I 1st installed the game, that fixed worked. You have to enable one thing, the other you have to disable and add in a stereo mix, and TA DA! your master server list comes up. It made no sense to me but i tried it last time and it worked..LOL

Now, it doesn't work. I saved the 1stRBN/4thID server in favorites, but it isn't listed either. Do i have to keep entering the IP manually each time I want to join? If it is a router issue, why can I play when I enter the IP manually?

Do you have to put in your class every time? Can you create and save a class?

These are the things i need to know... Very Happy

I fixed the problem. I now have a full master server list of servers...

Yes, you have to create your class each map.

I tried what worked with Cod1 and UO.

I did a deep uninstall with Revo uninstaller for COD4. and reinstalled the game, loaded multiplayer, hit refresh master server list and it came up with 300 servers for ver. 1.6, which is what my game is. Then I downloaded the latest patch, 1.7. Installed and restarted cod4 MP, and hit refresh and got a list of 8000+ servers. Holy samoley!

I am not sure what actually works..lol but those are my steps.

I think that each patch has its own servers..lol

I was reading some do not want to patch up..
