COD:MW3 - Current Server Rules

The Rules of the Modern Warfare 3 server are as follows:

1. YOU MUST MOVE IN A CROUCHED POSITION.
By crouching you move quietly, and do not alert the enemy to your position. You can stand to look
and/or shoot over objects, but there is NO continuous 'walking with sights up', also known
as pistol walking.

2. RUN ONLY TO AVOID DIRECT ENEMY FIRE OR EXPLOSIVES.
If you are under fire, you can run to seek cover (the nearest cover). This is intended for defense,
and is not to be used as an opportunity to “run and gun” the enemy.
There is no COVER TO COVER running or BURST running.

3. NO RANDOM WEAPONS FIRE OF ANY KIND, HAVE A KNOWN TARGET.
Do not fire your weapons or throw grenades/explosives ‘blindly’, or without a known target. Randomly strafing
a building or lobbing a grenade over a building hoping for a cheap kill is just that, a cheap kill.

Most commonly you will see your target, however, sounds, tracer fire, intel from your teammates, and
spy plane can all be used to accurately locate your enemy.

4. BE RESPECTFUL OF OTHER PLAYERS. DO NOT USE FOUL OR ABUSIVE LANGUAGE.
Cursing and/or profanity, whether in abbreviated or full form, will NOT be tolerated! Treat others with respect and
they will treat you with respect. This applies to voice chat, text chat, and player names.

5. HACKING OR GLITCHING WILL RESULT IN A BAN.
This should go without saying.

6. TEAM KILLING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
Apologize immediately for team kills (TYPE THE APOLOGY).

7. NO RUNNING AND GUNNING.
This is a tactical server, and since you should be moving in a crouch anyway, this should be easy.

8. DO NOT JUMP FROM 2ND STORIES OR HIGHER.
If you take damage from a fall, it was too high. If you can use a nearby objects to break your fall then
that is permitted. The only exception from this is you may jump from heights to avoid grenades or other explosives.

9. NO SPAWN CAMPING/KILLING.
Do not intentionally spawn kill. If you are told you are camping spawn, please move on. Use common sense: if you kill
the same person 3 times in a row in 30 seconds, please move on. Do not toss a grenade into a known spawn point.

10. The following perks/weapons are not allowed on the server:.
Second chance perk is not allowed.
Martydom perk is not allowed.
C4 Death is not allowed.
Akimbo is not allowed.
(These are turned off at the server level, so admins don't need to watch for them, however, if players ask
why some of their classes are shut off, this is probably why.)

If a player fails to follow any of these rules they will be warned, kicked, or banned.

Please acknowledge all requests by admins and fellow players to follow the rules.

Since the game is so new, some of these rules may need adjustment once we see how things
come along, so please adjust with us if any changes need to be made.
