Does it freeze up? |
The ping times go through the roof, then everybody does the foxtrot, then Punkbuster kicks us for 10 minutes, and those that are not kicked and stay in game can play but no one can join the game.

Current Status
(a.k.a. Um, I'd like to speak to your manager)
Greetings,
I do apologise for the long delay, aswell as the inconvenience this is causing,
Regarding the following notice being received:
Dedicated server: Session update failure, rejecting incoming connection
This tends to indicate either of the following:
1) The master server connection was lost
2) The master server is down
In this instance, this looks like (1).
Part of the lag can be related to (1), since the server requires a connection to the master server in order to function.
However, since you also indicate that you couldn't restart the server via the Web Panel or access the FTP, that indicates the above isn't all that was occurring at the time.
Your ticket is currently forwarded to our administrators with the necessary access level in order for this to be looked into further.
An update will be provided once one is available.
Thanks,
Alexander Zeid

Sounds like a politician. Time to shop for a new host!
Hey, I know what's wrong - we only bought the Kmart version of gameservers. Maybe we need to super size it and get the Ultimate version, lol.

Pretty typical when dealing with these companies.
Phone, cable etc. They are all the same.
Just ask to speak to the Tier 3 managment and skip all the rest.

Thank You for all of your patients on this issue P.
I checked the server the morning of 1/21/12...the pings are low and the B3 Bot is up.
I know this is not the end but We Will Persevere!
Thanks Again...

A few of us were playing on W@W tonight when all of a sudden the pings increased and then folks started getting packet loss disconnections. I ended up rebooting the server twice on Gameservers, but it happened a 3rd time before I packed it in for bed.
Looks like the issue has not been resolved.

After several discussions with Gameservers, the server has been moved to new hardware in the same facility, running on the same IP address. The change should be transparent to us, except hopefully the damn thing works now.
Please PM me feedback on how well or poor the new situation is.

I've heard that things are still running smoothly on the new hardware, glad to hear it.
Thanks to everyone who kept the WAW server going through rough times, and continue to do so.
